Lily Morris exhibits a new a oil painting, Dusk, 48 x 36″, which adds commentary to her American dream series featured as a solo exhibit in 2017. This recent painting illustrates modern isolation, where digital light illuminates every intimate corner of our lives as we search for connection through devices.

The exhibit also features a series of customized prints: handprinted on paper, some with paint; handprinted on linen; and original artworks on paper. Two earlier illustrated art books are available to view, from which custom prints can be ordered by request.
Brigitte Cornand, filmmaker and conceptual artist, presents her latest series, FUNGOS TABULATORUM AMORIS (My Beloved Mushrooms): a series of mushrooms scientifically presented with photographic imaginary, characteristics and observations handwritten in latin, on antique catalogue pages, as one would expect to discover in a herbarium. The inspiration arose from her love of wild edible mushroom foraging, which she learnt as a child from her grandmother while growing up in the South of France. She observes that the island is abundant with a variety of fungi, including her favorite – the porcini, a well proportioned mushroom in relation to it’s size.
“While photographing them, they began to resemble small sexy male figures that populate the forest,” and reminded her of boyfriends, platonic and otherwise, and their unique qualities.
